-Kazuma Shinoda received B.E. and M.E. degrees from Niigata University, Niigata, Japan, in 2005 and 2007, respectively, and his Ph.D. from Tokyo Institute of Technology, Yokohama, Japan, in 2011. He is currently an assistant professor in the Graduate School of Engineering, Utsunomiya University, Utsunomiya, Japan. From 2007 to 2009 he worked at Sony Corporation, Atsugi, Japan. He was a postdoctoral scholar at Tokyo Institute of Technology, from 2011 to 2012, supported by the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS). He was also a visiting scholar at the Department of Electrical Engineering, University of Southern California, Los Angeles, USA, from 2011 to 2012. Since 2012, he has been an assistant professor of Graduate School of Engineering, Utsunomiya University, and also a project researcher of the Faculty of Health and Medical Care, Saitama Medical University, Hidaka, Japan. His research interests include digital image processing, image compression, and multispectral imaging. He is a member of IEICE (the Institute of Electronics Information and Communication Engineers), ITE(The Institute of Image Information and Television Engineers), SPIE, IEEE, and ISO/IEC JTC1/SC29 WG1.
