Hiroyuki HATANO, Dr. Eng.

Utsunomiya University
Graduate School of Engineering

I was born in Mie, Japan.
I received the B.E., M.E. in electrical engineering from Nagoya University, Aichi, Japan in 2003 and 2005 respectively.
I also received the Dr. Eng. from Nagoya University, Aichi, Japan in 2008.
Since April 2008, I was an Assistance Professor at Shizuoka University, Shizuoka, Japan.
Since April 2013, I was an Assistance Professor at Utsunomiya University, Utsunomiya, Japan.
Since April 2015, I have been an Associate Professor at Utsunomiya University, Utsunomiya, Japan.
I am also a Visiting Associate Professor at Nagoya University, Aichi, Japan.

My current research interests are global positioning system (GPS), radar/sensor networks, intelligent transport system (ITS), and mobile communication systems.
I am a member of IEEE, IEICE, IPSJ, JSAE.
I am also a member of the IEICE ITS research group and editorial committee of IEICE communication society magazines.
I received IEEE VTS Japan chapter VTC 2007-Spring Student Paper Award in 2007, IARIA ICN Best Paper Award in 2011, International Conference on ITST Best Paper Award in 2012, the title of JSAE Engineer, IPSJ ITS research group Best Paper Award in 2014 and IARIA International Conferences on Advanced Service Computing Best Paper Award in 2016.
